NHS Communications and Engineering Academy Students Tour Sally Corporation
Recently Nease's Communications Academy Digital Design students and our Engineering Academy students had the opportunity to tour…
Biotechnology I students headed out for a Field Study to GyoGreens and PV Community Center to hear about Mosquito Control on January 10th.
20 first year students attended and learned about sustainable agriculture in Ponte Vedra Beach. GyoGreens shared its practices of a sustainable farming method which combines traditional aquaculture (raising aquatic animals – fish – in tanks) with hydroponics (cultivating plants in water) in a symbiotic environment. All produce is grown naturally and without the use of pesticides. They rely on beneficial insects and companion planting to avoid using pesticides. After the presentation, the students met with educators from Guana Mosquito Control to discuss advances in local and national practices.
